Looking for a "SSF" friendly build

Me and two friends are playing a private league and I'm looking for a build that is not: DD, SRS, RF, Cold dot or EA ballista.

Currently I'm running a penance brand ignite elementalist but pob'ing for a few hours I do not think the damage will be there for my taste.
I did try out DD, damage was great but for my liking it was a bit too much buttons to press.

I have looked into LA deadeye but since I've never played it before I'm scared it's going to disappoint me both offencive and defencive.

Anyone got any suggestions?

Penance Brand of Dissipation can do crazy damage and is being mostly run on Inquis. Lots of guides starting to come out for it.
