Poe wont launch after changing Monitor

So I went to my parents house for christmas and planning to stay a few days. The Poe junkie that I am I took my PC with me, but left my Monitor at home, cause I have an old one at my parents house. Now when trying to launch poe via steam and click play the client wont open and after a few seconds it will switch from "stop" to "play" again without even getting a blackscreen or the application visually trying to launch. Best guess is it must be the old monitor as im forced to run here on 1920*1080 resolution compared to the resolution I run with my proper monitor (dont know exact resolution from top of my head but roughly 2x that). Is there any easy fix for this? Searching google and the forum didnt bring anything up that I could find. Other applications (tried RE4 and Hearthstone) launch without an issue.
