Curse on hit Blade Trap

Hello, I believe I've come across a bug caused by the curse "fixes" from about a year ago. Blade Trap is applying despair from my gloves on the first 2 hits, but the last 3 (with qual) do not apply anything. Im guessing the trap "dies" after the first 2 hits, and therefore the curses are removed, but i dont understand why the last 3 hits dont apply curses.

also seeing as Blade Trap lasts for 5 seconds (with qual) why dont any curses applied by the trap last for atleast that long (unless overwritten)?
