Loot not being auto highlighted after act bosses

After killing act bosses for some reason the cursor is trying to select the place the boss died instead of the loot labels on the ground, when I press x nearby my character will point towards the boss corpse, using detonate dead to remove the corpse didn't fix it.

I can still stand still and use right stick, but it's very annoying, not up to maps yet to see if it affects endgame content at all.
