This is another guide for concoction lovers.
It is my Affliction league starter and it's fun.

-Watcher's Eye - Faster ailments or DoT multiplier with Malevolence will help with the damage. Defense can be enhanced with mods for block/armour with Determination or Evasion with Grace. I chose movement speed bonus for smoother map runs;

-Lethal Pride - any conqueror with 12983 will do.



Cluster Jewels:

-Medium: Blowback and Wasting Affliction.

I'm using 3 basic rare jewels to help with life and resistances. One of them must have 2-3 Reservation efficiency or the auras won't fit properly within your mana capacity.

Detailed build description:

We scale our ignites and shocks the best we can. The ring transfers all shocks and ignites to all nearby enemies on kill until there are none nearby. The denser the maps are, the better.


Damage scaling:

The damage is mainly from potent ignites and shocks that proliferate for a very good clear speed.



Defenses:

There will be three main defenses - Block (both spell and attack), armour and evasion:

* ~70% attack block;
* ~45% spell block;
* ~50% evasion;
* ~25k armour.



Uniques:

We're using 6~7 unique gear pieces:

-Skin of the Lords: Scaling the level of the skill and respectively its base damage proved to be good enough. Resolute technique is a must;

-Berek's Respite: The essence of our idea is to proliferate ignites and shocks in a beautiful wave of death;

-Replica Emberwake: Some players swap gems for boss fights, we swap rings. This will increase the damage when we swap it with Berek's Respite;

-Legacy of Fury: Provides the necessary Scorch ailment which is boosted high enough by the bonuses to non-damaging ailments we have;

-Polaric Devastation: The ring provides the Ash debuff and some extra damage and resistances;

-Dyadian Dawn: The faster ailments combined with ailment duration boosts the dps very efficiently;

-Replica Dragonfang's Flight: For all the stats it provides.



Rare gear pieces:

Helmet, Gloves and Shield: all of them are mainly there for resistance and life boost. Additionally, the helm can be upgraded to one that has the "Nearby enemies have -(9~12)% Fire resistance mod. Also, note that if you seek a shield with +1 to Fire spell skill gems, it won't boost the Explosive Concoction since it's an attack and not a spell.


Charms:

The combinations can vary between a lot of mods such as bonuses to Exposures, Block, Chance to cover in ash (if you're not using Polaric Devastation), Resistances, etc.



The Skill:

Since we will be scaling only ignite damage, we would not use Sapphire and Topaz Flasks but only a Ruby flask to add up DoT multiplier. Since there is just 1 projectile, the skill will drain 1 flask charge per use so it's very efficient.

Helmet, Boots and Gloves: One is for auras, one is for the Malevolence buff setup and the third one is for Tempest shield and Vitality.

Body Armour: We 6L the Concoction here. Unbound Ailments, Deadly Ailments, Burning damage, Elemental Damage with attacks and Swift affliction are the supports.

Shield: The curse, movement and guard skills go here.

Masteries:

Fire Exposure you inflict applies an extra -5% to Fire Resistance

15% increased maximum Life if there are no Life Modifiers on Equipped Body Armour

+50 to maximum Life

12% increased Mana Reservation Efficiency of Skills

+1% Chance to Block Attack Damage per 5% Chance to Block on Equipped Shield



Gameplay:

Leveling:

Just throw some cocktails on the ground. You may start leveling with Fireball until certain level.

Mapping:

Continue throwing cocktails. The ring will do the rest. Swap Berek's Respite with Replica Emberwake for boss fights (around 20~25% more dmg).



Budget:

To be honest, I expected to fit the whole build within my previous definition of "low-to-medium budget" of 20~40d but this league everything is at least 2 times more expensive, so be prepared:



Shield: Between 3 and 7d. Can get to around 10d with highest stats;

Body Armour: Skin of the Lords with Resolute technique is 2~4d;

Belt: The belt is around 2~3d with highest rolls;

Helmet: Basic helmet for life/resists around 3d. Can get very expensive if you're looking to maximize the damage;

Boots: 2~3d with perfect roll on the Scorch and a useful implicit;

Gloves: Between 2 and 4d for gloves good enough to cover our needs;

Amulet: 1~2d;

Rings: Polaric devastation is around 2d with good rolls. The other two rings are a total of 1d maximum.


Charms: Around 2d each.


Jewels:

Around 5d for the three cluster jewels and another 3~5d for the basic rare ones.

Gems: Some 21/20 gems are really expensive (Determination, Vitality, etc.) But we don't really need that. Total expense on the gems should be around 20~25d including 2x Enlighten level 3 and all awakened support gems.


Overall budget: between 50 and 100 Divine orbs.




Pros and Cons:

Good:
-Can be a cheap league starter;
-Great clear efficiency;
-Unique and Fun.

Bad:
-Mediocre single target damage;
-Medium and not heavy defenses.

Ideas and Alternative options:

-Instead of Haste or one of the defense auras, you can choose Anger and have a Watcher's eye with fire damage bonuses to boost your dps but obviously the character handling and/or defenses will get worse;

-You can boost your defenses by using Progensis instead of one of the other flasks but it's kinda expensive;

-If you get enough Mana reservation efficiency from the jewels or other sources, then you can spare 4d from buying a second Enlighten;

-Blasphemer's Grasp could be used if we could get more Elder items equipped. Just make sure to get a Master of Fire on one of the cluster notables.

Decided to try something completely different this league. Came across your build & it seemed fun. Didn't expect it to be as powerful as it is. Modified it to a sort of MF style & it just wipes packs of mobs left & right. Still working on gearing up but have had very little issues aside from straight up 1-shot mechanics, lol.
