Remote Play Controller Detection Issue - Path of Exile

**Issue:**
I am attempting to play Path of Exile via Remote Play, where the game is streamed from my desktop to my laptop. The challenge arises because the desktop, which is streaming the game, doesn't detect my controller when it is connected to my laptop. It seems that Path of Exile expects a physically connected controller, whereas my setup involves streaming the game to my laptop and using a controller connected to the laptop.

- Platform: PC
- Game: Path of Exile
- Remote Play: Desktop to Laptop
- Controller: Connected to Laptop

**Problem Description:**
When attempting to play Path of Exile via Steam Remote Play, the game does not recognize the controller connected to my laptop. The desktop, which is streaming the game, appears to expect a controller to be physically connected to it, causing a detection issue.

Having similar issues. Trying to remote play to my steam deck. Other games are working fine via remote play but POE doesn't even allow mouse inputs from remote play I also can't bring up the steam deck overlays while streaming poe specifically

Any updates on this? The “no detection for controller” is still an issue when trying to remote via Steam Link.

Like the urmamasllama’s comment, I’m having issues specifically with remoting to a steam deck and the onscreen controller doesn’t work (but it does work with other games).

I did manage to get to PoE options and change input to be controller, but the input selection reverts to keyboard after exiting the menu.

I am having this same issue with PoE2 atm. Wondering if anyone has found a solution. The only thing I'm finding online is to connect a controller to the host computer. I'm wondering if you can somehow emulate a physical controller with software.
