MTX Question

I just found a MTX called Void Emperor Ballista totem, it sadly keeps the ugly wooden skin for the ballista while having a lovely neon pink lightning attack as the projectiles. Now I want the neon pink lightning projectiles it has but not the ugly wooden ballista which can changed with Darkshard Totem/ ballista. Am I able to combine them and get the darkshard ballista skin to shoot the neon pink lightning projectiles from the void emperor ballista totem skin gem?

You cannot combine 2 MTX for the same slot. If they are both considered Ballista skins, then that's a no.
