Game won't start after installing -> just a black screen

I had uninstalled PoE a while ago and decided to reinstall to practice a bit before the next league.

Installed the game via Steam. Launching the game, it opens (windowed) but I just see a black screen and nothing happens. If I click the game it goes to (Not responding), waiting longer does nothing.

Deleted from steam, installed by downloading from pathofexile.com -> same thing happens, just a black screen and the game doesnt load.

Launching in x32 or x64 doesnt matter.

Never had this problem before, nothing has changed on my computer (hardware etc) between uninstalling and reinstalling. Running a Ryzen 5 4600 and Geforce 1650 GTX.

Anyone encountered this? Can't really try anything aside from reinstalling again.

Same here, just got crash every time afte the patch.

I load it up and Im at the login screen but cant click anything

Managed to resolve it by clearing the config files in "xxx\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile". Hope it helps!

For those still have black screen issues it can be due to the tldr delay.

Go and modify the Registry file to include it. Only do this if you are comfortable with doing the change.
