Trade search limit

So I just got banned from trade for 'exceeding limit' meaning I cannot message players regarding their wares via trade for the next hour.

Does anybody know what the magic number is? It's not like I intend to calculate that anyway but it would be good to know in order not to brick the game for myself again.

To be fair with trade being problematic as it is (down for the most of the league start + horribly slow refresh rate) and with the amount of bots trading... this should not even exist.

EDIT: I got unbanned after ~3-5 minutes. Still have no idea what the limit is. The trade, however, seems to be working smoother than it did. What is even happening?

I sometimes get rate limited on searching the trade website, but its only for a few minutes, and don't think it blocks anything in game.

I didn't notice trade being while playing in Merc league, but if it went down during league start I was probably going too slow for it to be a problem. Did it happen at all after league start or are you speaking of POE2?

The rate limit is WAY too conservative, I'm basically unable to check the value or transact at the pace that things drop.
