Diablo4 PVP

I'm considering buying Diablo IV with mostly PVP in mind, anyone here tried it in CLOSED beta? Are "open PVP" zones very common and mandatory to gear up?

In closed beta there was one large PVP zone, you can only PVP in that zone but even then it's not open PVP, you still had to flag yourself for it.
