[3.19] The Overflowing Elemental Blade Flurry Pathfinder (THE SEMI-AEGIS/SEMI-MAGEBLOOD BUILD)

HELLO AND WELCOME TO MY BLADE FLURRY PATHFINDER GUIDE!






This build is based around the unique flask "OVERFLOWING CHALICE" (OC) hence the name "overflowing" and its cool interaction with the Pathfinder Ascendancy specifically MASTER SURGEON and VETERAN BOWYER (as well as her asc. small nodes). I have been playing this build for quite a while now and I was able to do "ALL CONTENT" the game has to offer. It's very fun to play and offers a huge quality of life playstyle that IMO everyone should definitely try.

Some of the sections in the guide are still missing and I promise you that I will fill the gaps this coming few days. I hope you enjoy reading my guide fellow exiles :).

MY BUILD PHILOSOPHY

1. To create a build that offers HUGE quality of life.

In my case, I'm the type of player who hates fixing resistances because it's a big nuisance. Therefore I created this build that doesn't require any form of resistance on gear at the cost of 6+ passives and an Ascendancy which I would accept any time of the day.

2. To come up with a build that can scale offense and defense EFFICIENTLY at the same time.

We stack a REASONABLE amount of % INCREASED FLASK EFFECT to boost the offensive/defensive buffs we get from our flasks but more importantly to boost the effect of Overflowing Chalice to obtain massive amounts of % increased charges gain that translates into huge amounts of life recovery in combination with Master Surgeon.

3. To make a UBER BOSS viable character that have balanced offensive and defensive capabilities.

With reasonable investment the build was able to take down all uber bosses without compromising either offense or defense.

BUILD MECHANICS

We stack a reasonable amount of % flask effect ( PF asc. small nodes, belt affix, eldritch chest implicit) in order to the gain offensive and defensive benefits from our flasks and an insane amount of life recovery from OC. The OC allows us to have massive amounts of % charges gained by itself and we scale it even further via flask effect therefore making MASTER SURGEON + Gain flask charge when hit flask affix combo, more potent (We recover 24% of our life back after getting hit once or twice). Take note that Taste of Hate and Wise Oak have the enchant "Used when adjacent flask is used" which allows them to activate in concert with our Flagellant's Magic Utility flasks whenever they reach full (either by getting hit or by dealing a critical strike or via nature's boon). And by having 28-30% chance not to consume flask charges, we are able to reliably sustain our unique flasks.

In addition, thanks to VETERAN BOWYER (VB) and Instilling Orbs (use when full) we can permanently keep up its effect during mapping making us almost unkillable unless we get one shot. VB also helps us by making sure our unique flasks are topped up during maven invitations every time we kill a boss.

Because we have a high flask effect duration, during big boss fights (eg. invitations and ubers), we can use the powerful Enkindling Orb (70% flask effect) on OC to further boost it's effect for more % increasing charges gained which leads to an even more insane recovery.

So why blade flurry?



Besides it being my favorite skill, Blade flurry is the perfect skill for this mechanic since it's a FAST and CONSECUTIVE hitting skill which synergizes well with MASTER SURGEON ( flask charge on crit). And since we are converting 100% of our physical damage to a random element, its built in flat physical damage becomes significant for us. Without it, we are forced use a big d**ck weapon (high pdps). Hence, it makes gearing easier. Second, it being a channeling skill which others consider a big downside but since we want to get hit in order to recover 24% of our life back. We transform this weakness into an advantage.

WHAT WE GET FROM % FLASK EFFECT?

OFFENSIVE

1. % Increased damage = OVERFLOWING CHALICE

2. % Attack speed = MAGIC UTILITY FLASK

3. Triple Elemental penetration = WISE OAK; We are automatically WISE OAK
balanced since we don't have any interrupting resistances coming from gear.

4. % phys as extra cold = TASTE OF HATE

5. Numerous damage mods on gear since we don't need ele resistances elswhere besides flasks ( eg. critical strike multiplier and % aspd on gloves/rings/amulet)


DEFENSIVE

1. INSANE amounts of recovery = Overflowing Chalice + Charges When You are hit flask affix + Master Surgeon combo

2. Massive amounts of elemental resistances = WISE OAK and 3 Ele Flasks.
"WE GET ALL OF OUR RESISTANCES FROM OUR FLASKS"

3. Physical Mitigation/ Phys taken as cold = Taste of Hate

4. Triple Elemental Mitigation = WISE OAK BALANCED and 3 ELE FLASKS.

5. Easily Fit in Chaos Res because of the free suffixes on gear.

6. 100% Reduced Effect of Curses (Mapping) = MAGIC UTILITY

7. % increase regen (Bossing) = MAGIC UTILITY

and MANY MORE.

MANDATORY FLASKS & ENCHANTMENTS (IMPORTANT!!!)

We get all of our resistances from our FLASKS. So Taste of Hate, Ruby flask, Topaz Flask and Wise Oak are mandatory.

TIP: If you can't reach resistance cap, you can temporarily allocate the 15% ele res mastery until you get enough flask effect.

For your Magic Flasks (Topaz,Ruby flask) get the prefix "Gain 3 Flask Charge when hit" (VERY IMPORTANT!!!).Please refer to the image above for the "ORDER" and "FLASK ENCHANTMENTS" because they are very important. Use Instilling Orbs to enchant your flasks.

Only use enkindled Overflowing Chalice against Maven Invitations and Uber Bosses for more insane recovery :).

DROUGHT BRINGER ARCHNEMESIS MOD

Due to the recent Archnemesis Nerfs, this build became more viable than ever. The only thing it does to us is counter our life recovery coming from master surgeon. That's it. But we still have LIFE LEECH and HIGH FLASK DURATION to compensate. Honestly, while playing this build, I never once had issues when encountering them.

RECOMMENDED UNIQUES

Because we have a decent amount of % Physical damage taken as element and have the ability to use minimum endurance charges on rings and amulets. We can utilize Abyssus without suffering too much from it's downside (40% phys taken). This unique item is almost mandatory for this build since Pathfinder doesn't have much damage in her ascendancy.

Mark of the elder is another recommended unique if you can't afford Fractured Weapon elemental rings.

THE BELT (IMPORTANT!!!)

This definitely deserve a section of it's own. Because without the "% reduced flask charges used" mod from our belt. The build will not be as effective. So this is your main stat priority here. Another important function of your belt is that it will give you most of your chaos resistances via Essence of Delirium 50% chaos res mod.



A good alternative are fractured % increased flask effect Heavy and Leather Belts which are abundant in the game right now because of Archnemesis monsters. After acquiring such, you can just spam either essence of envy or delirium or horror (alchemist genius) depending on your budget until you get % reduced flask charges used.

In the end-game, you can try fitting in % flask effect and % not to consume charges to make Master Surgeon more powerful in terms of life recovery.

RARES/GEM LINKS

WEAPONS

MAIN HAND (left hand slot)


The Anarchic Spirit Blade is the BiS weapons for this build. Because it easily converts our damage to a random element which allows us to utilize "The Interrogation" (Secrets of Suffering). On top of that, it allows us to use TRINITY SUPPORT without worrying about balancing our 2 highest ele damage.


Try to get atleast 450+ pdps with atleast 1.95+ attacks per second. ( focus on t1 - t3 attack speed here). 7.0+ base crit chance.

OFF HAND (right hand slot)


For your off hand you need a high raw pdps (or w/ phys as extra element) with decent attack speed ( 1.8+ aps). You don't need base crit chance here because we get the dual wield mastery +1 off hand base crit mastery. Instead of crit chance we use " % double damage while focused " which we press against difficult monsters. In addition, aspd is not that important here compared to your main-hand since ambidexterity skill passive node gives us 30% aspd on this slot.

HELMET


Hands down, Abyssus is the BiS helmet for this build. Get the +1 maximum blade flurry enchant because it's 20% more damage for us.

BODY ARMOUR



ELDRITCH IMPLICIT

You prioritize Fortify on hit + flask effect in this slot.

EXPLICIT

Getting a high maximum life chest + Phys taken as element craft is your main priority ( to counter abyssus ). Followed by suppression.

In the end-game, you can use the veil craft % avoid ailments in order for you to be ailment immune alongside the ailment avoidance mods in your boots.

GLOVES



ELDRITCH IMPLICIT

Rage on hit with attacks is the main priority here so we can press berserk against bosses. You can get suppress here if you're not capped.

EXPLICIT

You want attack speed and suppress in this slot. Aspd while focus is nice to have here. You can veil or just bench craft it.

BOOTS



ELDRITCH IMPLICIT

Your main priority will be % action speed followed by avoid elemental ailments.

EXPLICIT

Suppress and Avoid elemental ailments are your priorities. Chaos res is nice to have. The attack speed boot enchant and onslaught on kill craft will get you far in improving your map clear due to fast channeling.

JEWELRY



If your on a budget, Mark of the elder is a nice option. Just make sure you use a Shaper Ring on your other ring. Try to get t1 or t2 accuracy here to fix your hit chance issues.

But in the end-game, you want Fractured Elemental With attack rings with crit multi and minimum endurance charge craft.

For your amulet, your main priority will be the mod " % phys as extra element " followed by crit multi.

CRAFTING SECTION

WEAPONS

Before proceeding, make sure to use Perfect Fossils or Hillock Syndicate (Transportation/Fortification) on your items until you get 28-30% quality.

Anarchic Spirit Blades

WARNING!!! I highly advice you just buy your weapons on the market since the current iteration of crafting is expensive ever since harvest was nerfed. :(

LOW BUDGET / LOW CHANCE OF SUCCESS (alterations, augmentation, regal , exalted orb)

1. Spam alteration orbs until T1-2 Flat Phys, T1-3 % phys/hybrid increased damage, t1-2 attack speed/crit chance then regal orb. If you manage to get one of the previous desired mods you can just multimod then bench craft either attack speed,crit chance or % phys depending on the mods you obtained.

MID to HIGH BUDGET / HIGH CHANCE OF SUCCESS (Essence of Contempt, annulment orbs, warlord exalted orb )



1. You start of with a Warlord Base Anarchic Sword (Slam Warlord Exalted Orb on Item Level 83 Anarchic Spirit Blade)



2. Spam Essence of Contempt until you get t1 attack speed.

3. If you luckily got t1 attack speed and it has other mods mixed with it. You have to annul until two of them are left.

4. Considering you were able to isolate flat phys and t1 attack speed. Your next step is bench craft "Can Craft 3 modifiers", "Prefixes Cannot Be Changed" and Suffixes Cannot Be Changed". Then go to your horticrafting station and use Reforge speed. It will guarantee t1-5 Warlord Phys/Aspd Hybrid.

5. Clean the mods by removing the crafted mods on it. Then re-craft "Can have up to 3 Additional Crafted Mods". Craft % phys (1exalt) and crit chance/ str+int (1exalt)


HIGH BUDGET/ LOW-MEDIUM CHANCE OF SUCCESS (Fracture t1 % phys or t1 phys/hybrid, essence of contempt)

1. Either buy a base in the market with Merciless (t1 % phys) or Dictator's (t1 % phys hbrid) with 4 mods or you alteration spam until you get them, then you can just exalt slam until the total mods reach 4.

2. After fracturing t1 % phys or t1 % phys/hybrid. You spam essence of contempts until you get t1 or t2 %phys or %phys/hybrid.

3. If your prefixes are finished you can proceed and bench craft "Prefixes Cannot Be Changed". Then use your horticrafting station and use add speed remove until you get t1-3 attack speed. If your ballsy enough, you can just straight up craft Reforge Speed and hope you won't fill your suffixes.

4. After you get t1-3 attack speed you can just bench craft crit chance / str + int. But again, if your ballsy proceed to step 5.

5. So your ballsy ehhh.... At this point you already have 4 mods in your weapons ( 3 Prefixes, 1 suffix ). You craft "Can have up to 3 Additional Crafted Mods" + Prefixes cannot be Changed ". Then use Aisling / Veil ( By Killing Catarina / Syndicate ). Hope that it doesn't remove t1-t3 aspd if it gets deleted you go back to step #3. If it survived, unveil then hope that you get either Global crit multi or % double damage. Then just craft crit chance or % double damage.

Tried the build, damage aint too bad but do remind guys the items of this build are very specific and could get expensive easily due to low supply of the market. I think it would be close to 200 divines as of now to replicate the OP very end game setup.

Yo bro! Yep, unfortunately player count dropped significantly which lead to the price increase of items :(. In terms of specificity of items, I think if you choose to min-max it. It's the freakin belt. haha. But if you went for the earl-mid game route, you only actually need the %reduced flask charges used (and certain passives) to make the AUTO-FLASK / SEMI-MAGE BLOOD mechanic work. :) Good luck on your uber sirus runs!! and don't forget to share your MTOH in case you dropped too much lolzzz. Cheeeers mate!!
