POE creating new filter folder every time it starts up (with random/chinese letter names)
I have an insanely weird issue that I cannot find any info on from a bit of googling/searching around. So I recently installed a m.2 SSD into my PC and moved Steam from my C drive to this new drive (D). Everything seemed to work fine except that every time I start up POE it creates a new filter folder (sometimes multiple) and I have to try and find which folder it is looking for the filter in because it is not the folder that it takes me to when I click on the show filter folder button in game. This is a picture of my POE folder https://imgur.com/a/yVzhNA3 all of those weird folder names contain My games folder which contains Path of Exile folder which contains OnlineFilters folder (some of those are empty and some of them contain a random string file like xgn12fr or something random like that). Also some of the folders don't have an OnlineFilters folder and are just empty. I Uninstalled and reinstalled the game completely and the same thing still happened again. My online filters that I have synced with filterblade also do not work and I also tried disconnecting the link with filterblade and then reconnecting it and the online filters still do not work. I really have no idea what to do so any help would be appreciated.

Any fix for this?

This is happening to me right now, been trying for a couple of days to fix it.
I have tried reinstalling the game on steam a few times, and tried with the standalone client too, but no luck |

Have you found any fixes for this?
I have the same issue. I think I have the reason why it happend but I dont know how to fix it. My OneDrive (from my university) stole all my game files and now I dont have access to the onedrive anymore. The game however still tries to find the folder from the onedrive. Why it is creating new folders with cryptic symbols I still dont know. Opening the filter file in game does not work either. Already reinstalled the game twice and deleted all the files. I saw a comment on this that the filter folder is hard coded and the only way to reset the setting is to format the computer. Any tipps on what I can do? |

" Please copy & paste the following into File Explorer, then tell us the full filepath of that location; %USERPROFILE%\Documents e.g., on my system, it's C:\Users\John\Documents I'm not sure what the author of the post you refer to may have meant. It doesn't make sense for it to literally be hard-coded; that would imply it is specified within the game's source code. That's obviously not the case, as the location differs from one PC to the next & formatting your drive wouldn't affect the game's source code, anyway. If you do the above, we'll know where Windows thinks your Documents directory is located - that will allow us to figure out the best next steps. " Hey John, thanks for the response. If I put in %USERPROFILE%\Documents I get the same response as you: C:\Users\Michael\Documents If I open the loot filter folder in Poe2 the following path is shown: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile 2\@ᛰƵ\My Games\Path of Exile 2 In the Path of Exile 2 Folder(The first one in the path) there are all those cryptic folders that are created over and over again |

" Huh. If you search your computer for OneDrive and then run it, you should have a system tray / taskbar icon of a blue cloud show up. Can you try the below and see whether it helps?
Then go back into Path of Exile 2 and try clicking on the Loot Filter folder again?
