Can't login to any character

i don't know what happened today...i play PoE everyday basically, at least 30 minutes a day but more often it's for 3-5+ hours. earlier today I was playing, before the update happened for about an hour maybe.
the servers went down for a few hours, when I logged back in after the update I made a character in the new league...but then on the coast at level 2 my game lagged really bad and it crashed. logged back into the game but was unable to login to the new league character, game froze at the loading screen and crashed. hmmm, ok. so i restarted my PC and tried again. Same thing, i get to the character screen and can pick a character but logging in, it crashes about halfway through loading the town (i say about halfway, there's no loading bar, just the spinning gears). So ok, i restarted my PC again and started up PoE. This time though I tried logging into a character that's not the new league, and the same thing happened. i chopped it up to maybe the servers are overloaded and i'll try again later, which later for me is right now, it's almost 1am and the same problem is still happening. i've been playing PoE on this PC for about 2yrs now with no real issue. my past issue I had was resolved by not using wifi, which i've been plugged since. any help or others have same type issues since this update? i will keep trying to play every few hours, it's just odd bc i've never had an issue loading in and actually playing the game. not being able to load in at all is strange. " try running packcheck.exe as "an administrator". If that doesn't help, then try changing PoE gateway server and Rendere. | |

packcheck finishes with "all content hashes are in sync.
changing the gateway doesn't help this issue don't know what you mean with changing the Rendere, I play the game at medium to low settings. however, I do have 16gb Ram and 1660 Ti no clue why I can't even load into the game or i'm having this issue. NO OTHER GAME I PLAY HAS ANY PROBLEMS RUNNING OR TURNING UP THE GRAPHICS and I play seriously 10 other games at least with absolutely no issues at all with anything ever. Path of Exile is the only game I have random problems with |

" When you start the game and get to the login box, select option and change from DirectX to Vulcan or the other way around. That's what I mean. Also try to start the game as "an administrator". | |

I can't run the game as Vulkan, i've tried in the past. I don't have Vulkan apparently so it just crashes when I swap to it. or something of that affect. And running the game itself as administrator doesn't help the issue either, i've tried that.

it's seriously something that happened in yesterdays patch. I've been playing flawlessly for weeks or months at this point, you HanSoloDK were the person that assisted me before and it resulted in me going to buy a LAN cable. since that day it's been great. Until yesterday, after the update, now i'm unable to play the game at all. I get to character screen choose my character and go play, but on the loading screen to get to the town, loading stops and it just freezes indefinitely.

i'm not using any loot filter, logout macro or anything extra. it's just the game.

I will try that. However, as of yesterday I can play again. It's been pretty strange, I'd attempt to login everyday. It was giving me the same result until yesterday where I was actually able to load the town and play. I do appreciate your help and I will do the dxdiag and client file to GGG.
