Wither from minions

Does wither from minions with withering touch support benefit from “increased effect of wither” on the skill tree? Or is it only wither applied directly by me?

Thanks!!!

That's only for you. Minions aren't affected by much of anything outside of support gems if it doesn't specifically say it affects minions or allies.

Ok, so to be clear since it’s late, I’m tired and sometimes retarded. Getting “corruption” would be a 100% waste if I’m using spiders with withering touch linked in arakaalis fang?

Also, what happens if my spiders are giving wither but I also used withering step. Do half of the wither stacks get the buff from corruption? Or are they all overridden by the “unbuffed” minion withers?
Corruption would do nothing for any of your minions. As for mixing your own Wither effects in, the strongest effect applied usually wins out PoE, so yours should override theirs.

Whither Totems are pretty efficient. That way you can benefit from Corruption as well as the 20% from the mastery.
Yet another feature that's not clearly said in any of the game tooltips.
Withered is said to be a general/global debuff which according to everything you can read in the game should have its effect increased by the Corruption notable regardless which part of your character inflicts it (totems/minions/the character/traps/mines/secondary effects like chaos explosions, etc.)

As an example, you can read the small passives just before the Corruption notable where it says "Withered YOU inflict expires #% slower" - it is a non-generalized statement compared to the notable itself which is a general statement "Increased effect of Withered". Either the notable is working fine with minions/totems, etc. or GGG have a lot of work to do about learning how to properly write tooltips. Been playing this game for 9-10 years and I am afraid it's the latter.

From my personal experience, after several not-so-thorough experiments, Corruption affects the Wither caused by minions.

Did you really need to reply to a thread that's 2 years old..?

What? Why does it matter that the thread is old? If the information is useful, somebody will benefit from it if they stumble onto it later.

Except that one was just a (moderate) rant out of the blue with misleading info at the end.

In question threads, necroposting can be useful when the initial answer was wrong, ambiguous, or meager, and the necropost corrects/clarifies/elaborates it, but only if the thing in question hasn't changed since then, and only for others who, as you said, stumbled on it. For TS themself it wouldn't be relevant. Most of the time necroposts are like these (not prime examples, just few recent ones):
