mageblood does work in 1v1, AFTER you die. You start a fresh match without mageblood working at all. Die, then it's up! The bug is also relevant to the Coward's Legacy low life belt. It has the same bug. You need to manually re-equip it every round in 1v1. This bug was fixed for sometime but got unfixed again recently.
