Howto kill "unearthed soldier" expedition enemy with attacks?

How? They seem to block attacks even when attacking them from behind and sometimes also while they don't use their shield. Also chain doesn't seem to work on them. The answer is probably very obvious but I can't figure it out.

How am I supposed to kill them (using attacks)?

I've just been killing them with pure determination. Keep hitting, keep hitting, keep hitting, and eventually I get through their RNG layer.

You can create one by selling any Puncture gem with any 20% quality Dexterity (Evasion Rating) shield to an NPC vendor.

That gem may work but having it just for them is kinda bad. Is their block capped to something high like 95% or it it 75%?

Sometimes their hp bar also colors gold/yellow and they seem to be 100% immune to all attacks. What am I supposed to do?

I'm about 85% sure that that's their Ward indicator. Ward prevents a certain flat amount of damage from a single hit, then becomes inactive for 5 seconds. Hitting more frequently than 5 seconds should allow you to eventually deal damage past Ward.

Oh wow, that's some seriously strong ward then.

So short version of the solution: get more damage and keep hitting them.

i can not make any sense of a puncture skill gems I googled it and searched for it by right cliciing on a skill gem. I tried attacking them over and over with my lightning spear, storm lance, spear throw and spear stab. I have tired attacking after they attack me and I have attacked them from behind. I do believe the remnaint said immune to physical damage but lightning is not physical. I have attacked close up and far away. I can hear them blocking everything. I doubt having more than 24k damage is the solution

Have you tried Attack Mastery -> Monsters cannot block your attacks?
