Dash and Wild Dash visual effect

I recently got the Wild Dash effect and am sad to find out it does not resolve a visual issue.

The problem is the character trails generated will disregard the character equipment you are wearing, only the weapon is included. After taking screenshots I noticed that for 1 frame at the start of the dash my character's armor/helm and other gear are hidden, making the trails look very dull.

Maybe this is done to reduce lag, but in the preview video for the Wild Dash the character trails are based on the equipment worn. This is false advertising.

Is there a way to either fix this visual glitch or to get a refund for the Wild Dash effect?
