Is your summoner squishy ? Do you just want more survivability ? The ultimat-UM ? Defense !

Below is all you will need to make your character feel like you just covered yourself in indestructible vibranium. (dont take that too literally) But making these changes which will work in ANY summoner build will make your life 500% easier.

Thats it, that simple, given Auls is 10 ex in league but the rest of it is regrets and a couple of chaos and you will feel like you just respec gladiator on your summoner. Enjoy !

Visibility for people seeking defenses
I don't understand this thread.

Are you saying the 'sanctuary' nodes can work without a shield equipped? If so, how, exactly?

Or, are you saying that max block, spell block and a bit of evade (conditional on casting, and pressing flasks) are good stats to aim for in end game? Or are OP and allow you to be 'tanky'?

Either way, I tend to think these synergies only work during planning. In reality, the state of the game for some time has been glass cannon millions of DPS builds wildly outperforming subtle or layered defences. No amount of block or evade will stop the terrain, corpses, traps, ground effects, Dot's or inevitable oneshot RNG from ruining your day.

Further, while our defensive builds have been soaking up damage, but not outputting millions, the boss spawns, huge HP totems, dense mobs, crazy regen mechanics have either meant we die eventually anyway, or we are farming currency / progressing goals so slowly that we run out of hours in the day.

I don't want to be needlessly negative, and I hope this changes in the future, but while all this uncounterable crap is completely negating subtle/conditional/monster based defences like block/evade, I'd take 1K life or 20% more damage over max block and spell block anyday.

I maybe misspoke, BUT sactuary will work with necromantic aegis is what i mean, you dont get the block or stats of the shield, BUT you are holding one and get the nodes from the wheel.

You can do both millions of dps and be tanky man, im at 6.6k life the capped block, the evasion and my spectres and golems combined do just shy of 65million dps.

Gotcha, ta.

Lol. You can, and good for you. I cannot as a single item of this setup (10 ex for aul's uprising) is more exalted than I've found in years of playing to my preferred level of grind (which is low by some measures, high by others). So the builds I've tested have all been cheap, and hence they must decide on tankiness or millions of DPS, but cannot afford both.
i find this approach very interesting ,given we still keep decent dps too
like the idea . if i may ask , is there a build guide for your carry lads , ty in advance

It's actually bonkers how much survivability you get from this setup.
I personally ran this aswell in my build.

Basically you're running:
- 75% Spell/attack block cap (Though less dmg blocked due to glancing blows but still very strong as it prevents oneshots.)
- 75% spell dodge and 60% attack dodge. (I get extra spell dodge from my chest)
- 48% Attack Evasion.
- 77% Phys mitigation from Armour.
- ~5k Health.

One could also throw in a CWDT Immortal call setup or something along those lines into the build but it's generally not needed.

The only problem I have is fitting chaos resistance into the build which is absolutely impossible without Harvest crafting. Running a high budget version could potentially solve this by running CI and ES instead of Life. Not sure if it's worth though as ES summoner gear costs several mirrors.

Also, dps isn't hard to fit.
You can easily hit more than 100 million dps running this setup.
On a lower budget you'll easily do ~30 million running all of that.

You can see how these defensive layers play here:

I'm not even running all of the defensive layers here. For example, Bone Offering is not used. Instead I run Flesh Offering for more dps and movement speed.

Running all defensive layers together looks like this:
