Can't review Party chat after leaving the party

As soon as I leave a Party all Party chat is hidden and the tab to view it grays out. As a result I tend to chat to people using Private Messaging which is annoying because you can't message multiple people simultaneously that way!
I'm pretty sure that previously Party Chat remained accessible after leaving a Party. not a bug, party chat has worked this way since closed beta.
