Why I'm leaving PoE
I've been playing PoE since it opened to the public. Honestly, one of the best games out there and I've thoroughly enjoyed it. However, recently my friends and I have been feeling like GGG is becoming one of those companies that care less and less about their community and is starting to through it's weight around thinking that there are no consequences for their actions, much like YouTube.
The first thing that makes us feel this way is the server issues. Although this league was the worst, its not at all a new problem. GGG started having this problem a couple years ago, and it's only gotten exponentially worse. The main issue that brought on this decision, however, is how casually they through down the ban hammer, especially on content creators. Specifically this comes in response to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPm8VXl3hoc Where a content creator, notified GGG about an exploit, and got ban for notifying them of an issue they clearly should have though of prior to launch. To my friends and myself, this is an abuse of their power. While some will argue the moot point that it's their company and they can ban whom ever they want. I will counter with it is a government's right to use and abuse their people, but if they do, their people will leave in droves (which have seen around the world over the past decade). With that said, it is the people who hold the power in this relationship and my friends and I have chosen to exercise our power to no longer support GGG. I hope GGG will one day improve their systems and customer service relations. Until then, goodbye. Last bumped on Apr 24, 2021, 3:24:50 PM
