Raider minions: max dodges, max evade, max blocks, 40% phys, 6K life, 800K ranged shaper dps

All theory at the moment, but should be quite viable.
May be expensive to get life and resists on gear. I'm levelling a toon, but the grind in this game wears me down, so thought I'd share the PoB now on the slim chance someone cares.

Although the stats look tanky, you can still expect to die regularly at the point where the uncounterable imbalances in this game such as ground effects and on death effects negates all your defences and oneshots you. I tested a similar build (SRS + triad grip) last league and found that max evade and dodge becomes close to useless around level 90. At this point any non immortal minions get wiped faster than you can summon them and there is often such a volume of mess on the screen it's impossible to know which thing is killing you. The only thing for sure is that dodge and block are completely negated by a wide variety of things.

Summary:

Defences

130% movespeed. Still the best defence in the game, as so many aspects of this game require you to be in a certain spot or else die no matter what your defences.

Max evade: from raider ascendency, We also get reliable blind from shaper influenced gloves.

Max dodges: from ascendency, atziri's step, withering step gem, acrobatics, phase acrobatics from tree.

75% spell blocks: from shield, tree, glancing blows, stone of lazhwar
75% blocks: from flask - rumi's concoction

30% physical resistance from lioneye's vision armour
40% with rumi's flask up

Artcic Armour: For chill, slower enemy attacks, physical and fire resists

Damage
Summon skeletons in chest for 7 link with peirce
Skeletons > spell echo > faster projectiles > greater multiple projectiles > added cold damage > minion damage

This gives screenwide piercing damage with a single button push. Excellent for the crazy mob density these days

Auras: Zealotry, Hatred + generosity in boots
Arctic Armour or flesh and stone (sand stance) in boots or shield.

Raise Spectre > Summon Phantasm > Spell Echo > minion damage
Spectres can be anything. They'll do about 100K dps: wraiths or frost sentinels would work well. their main role is to proc phantasms to boost our single target DPS by 500K, apply blinds and give a little chance to freeze.

Socketed in shaper influenced gloves with slower projectiles, faster casting and blind for a pseudo 7 link. The blind helps cap our evade chance. If you want more reliable blind, you can swap Arctic Armour for Flesh and stone.

All to give taunts, meatshield blockers, apply feeding frenzy, and buffs via animate guardians items.

For a fun Alternative, you can put the spectres/phantasms in the helm and use the gloves for blind + knockback/flee:
SRS > knockback > spell echo > minion speed

Spells cast as needed: snipers mark, flesh offering, steelskin, withering step

Expenses
Gloves start at 1 Ex, but would be more to get a decent life roll
6L chest = 4 Ex, but can be replaced with a shroud of the lightless 5L
Rings, belt = cheap to cap resists, but would get more expensive to get resists + life + evade
Weapon = We don't have the intelligence for a convoking wand, but can easily get the +1 to spell gems on a sceptre for a few chaos. This is the main thing we want here. For quality of life, our next goal would be "cast socketed spells" which would push the price up past 1 Ex. For levelling, I'd use an aurumvorax here to solve your resist issues and make the build reach all its synergies without needing any currency.
Amulet = the stats given include a 5% spell block corruption which is usually cheap or easy to craft with vaal orbs and a bit of time buying bases. Jinxed Juju would be a great alternative if you don't care about block.
Boots, shield = cheap

Total is about 6 Ex for the key stats on the gear included in the PoB.
But just 1 Ex for levelling alternatives if you give up a bit of power.

Bandits: Help Allira for the resists and mana regen

Pantheons: Anything goes

This build got buffed by quite a lot.

First, the raider ascendency is a lot more user friendly, got damage and defensive buffs, and frees us from being forced to use ahn's heritage.

The projectile speed increase to skeleton mages will be huge for survivability, clearspeed and quality of life.

It is now quite easy to max block, dodge, spell block, spell dodge, with nice armour, chaos resists, capped evasion, offensive or defensive curse, shield of your choice (sentari's answer gives -20% move speed, temporal chains, and elemental weakness), or even a 2 handed staff and lots of space for defensive skills like arctic armour, frostwall, blind, taunt, golem, guardian, guard skill.

Let's see if raider can challenge the jugg for tankiness...
