Some item filter sounds tied to Sound Effects setting - why?
Meowrs! :)
While trying out the tip to disable certain sound/audio settings (by setting them to "false" in the production_Config.ini file), I discovered that some of the item filter sounds are tied to the sound effects setting being enabled/disabled. Why is this? The mid to upper tier currencies and items that are filtered do play their sounds, but the lower tier ones, such as Orbs of Alteration/Transmutation, "quality" currency such as blacksmith's whetstones and glassblower's baubles, as well as scrolls of any kind are not playing their sound when sound effects are disabled. That tells me that some item filter sounds are classified as sound effects while others are not. Why aren't they all separately classed so they will always sound regardless of the other sound settings as long as item filter audio is not set to zero or disabled? This can be a real problem when you're in need of those items, but also need to disable sound due to the sound engine currently being extremely unoptimized, buggy, or both. Can we get an explanation as to why some of the item filter sounds are tied to regular sound effects? This makes item filtering feel very "iffy". Last bumped on Mar 28, 2020, 11:44:52 AM
