Thread is closed I have discovered the problem I experienced was only temporary.

there are few players in pvp on sc to.

Since hc got much less players the pvp numbers will be even lower.

pvp should be just like in d2, would make things so much more fun.

I did like d2s system but I like poes more if it was functional. The 5 round pvp is genius. It gives u time to kinda see what they could be using and then switch and use items in your inventory to be properly geared. I do this all the time when I know I am gonna go against elemental or phys based. I either use elemental flasks or Granite.

I wish the system was easier for players to matchmake, its current difficulty in queueing up is my biggest problem.

I asked Henry in-game about this when I started PvPing because someone suggested that I had to seek out full towns and be there with whoever I wanted to PvP with and that seemed odd to say the least.

The queue is global. You can queue up in an empty town and you don't have to keep refreshing it. Just wait for it to match you. Probably still takes a moment even if you queue up at the same time as someone you want to PvP with. Maybe it waits a bit when multiple people queue up with drastically different ratings to hopefully give a closer match.. I dunno.

I wondered why you did that party juggling so I could PvP with your friend.. I had already just queued up. /shrug

Yes, that means HC 28-PvP is that empty. :(

I would really like to see a right-click challenge option, a PvP lobby, and a ladder with real ratings (not the rating obfuscation that some other games have moved to). A ladder, especially, would likely draw more people into PvP even if there aren't seasonal awards.

I also think that, if it isn't already, the PvP queue should cross the Default/Hardcore boundary. The ladder for it should indicate which league the player is in and have the option to hide a league (and re-number the listing).

(I haven't tried the 3v3 yet to know how that works.)

Even SC merciless pvp is so empty (3x3 is imposible, 1x1 - you have to wait 5 minutes), thats amazing, how many people playing this game? And no one is interested in pvp? Something must be wrong here.

Ya I was going to make a post about how dead pvp has been lately. Either the player base as a whole has thinned out tremendously or the majority of people aren't enjoying pvp, and are staying away from it.

I really dont see any reasons not to open cuthroat league. Why do they wait so long?

I did play a ton of PvP earlier but as it is now without any matchmaker or ladder it is just totally pointless and fairly boring. Would they just add a ladder...

I told myself I would buy D3 when they added PvP (they never did so I never got it) I was hoping PoE would have it the way I wanted but I am not so sure anymore.

hmmm I will have to speak with henry because from my experience queues are not global. I have tested it. Maybe it really does take forever if u are in different towns but I have set up so many pvp lan partys with poe.I get together 3 or 4 friends and rummage through all my twink gear and try to get solid fights. We have tried in seperate towns and waited 10mins plus. Then we switch to the same town and it works almost immediately. If the queue system is global then something has to be broken because it is not functioning well. I have tried it multiple times while the pvpers I am trying to queue against are at my house and I am looking at their screen and we dont get queued together. Yes we are both HC lvl 28 and everything SHOULD work.
