New to game, did I already mess up?

Hey all. So I tried the game a while back and never got into it, but just gave it another try with a new character in the last 1-2 weeks and currently have a level 37 marauder. I am just wondering if I already messed up though? I haven't looked at any builds or guides and incorrectly assumed that the resets on the skill page were going to allow me to fully reset the skill tree but it doesn't sound like that is the case. I have basically been going for a life leech build while duel wielding. I have been for the most part avoiding skills directly into something specific like 2 handed maces or duel wielding just in case I change my mind, but I wonder if the life leech skills I have gone into are going to end up hurting me in the end?

I have been looking at a few builds, but from what I have found so far none of them use lifeleech, I will have to keep looking I am sure there is a build that must. Wondering if anyone can give me a little bit of an idea of what I should be doing with my build? Hoping I didn't mess up to the point of having to reroll.. although if that is the case what is the fastest way to level up alts?

Well first of all at your current level nothing is over yet. You can reset passives pretty fast and i am sure there are not much passives to reset, to go towards specific build, at your current level.

Now it would be really interesting to see your "life leech" passive tree to know what should be changed.
For most of the cases, many builds only need a little life leech in the end game, because usually ~1-2% of damage life leech is enough, because at the end game your damage is going to be ~300k DPS without much of a worry.

In my opinion you sholdnt bother too much with building passives the right way now. You can look at a build you would like to do in the future and concentrate on that a little. For starters try to cap physical damage, armor, health nodes. Because these are pretty much standart nodes for most of the builds, and they will make your leveling easier now.

I strongly suggest looking at some builds, because some of them use specific mechanics, for example facebreakers builds, these concentrate on shield passives a lot so if you go for facebreakers it would be good to know that they concentrate on shield nodes.

I am new player myself, so not much from me to hear, I am not sure about dual wield builds, so better check them out.
