Chieftain Scorching Ray+CWC+?

Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction for a Chieftain Scorching Ray+CWC build. When I feel out my skill tree I feel like I miss to much res. Or if its not res I'm missing I have no idea if I should be going for armor, ES, Mana shields and what not.

Also I don't want to us totems.

then something like SR+CWC+ Glacial Cascade
with chieftain u go full fire conversion (chieftain node + Avatar )

Staff with cwc mod and u got a early 6 link

high life IMO with phys conversion hatred u wont have much mana for MOM but with leach it would be possible
