Returning player - build help

Hi,

I just returned to PoE after 3 years or so and found my points reset and don´t really remember much of my build.
Is a Level 35 Marauder, never finished the story and wanted to do so.

Need some tops how to best get started. Looking for something easy and survivable without spending money. I am basically again a PoE Noob and don´t want to do some difficult casting routine and not die to quickly.


Got:
123 skill Points Left
8 Ascendancy Points Left
No Ascendancy Class (didn´t exist back then)
2 hander equiped (Hypnotic Batter)

- Decoy Totem Lvl 9
- Warlords Mark Lvl 4
- Molten Shell Lvl 9
- Sweep Lvl 7
- Heavy Strike Lvl 10
- Added Fire Damage and a Life Gain on Hit support
- Spectral Throw Lvl 10



I believe I used Blood Magic (only have Health flasks) maybe resolute technique.


Any tips on what passives to get would be great. And can I already pick an Ascendancy Class? Which one to take?

I obviously misunderstood the profile screen. Only have 40 skill points and no ascendancy.
