V 1.7 UPDATE (16/01/2021)

-Lethal Pride affix is gone, have to travel to Glancing Blows now.
-with the change to a block on Hegemony it is now possible to be super tanky for both spells and attacks, so in the very end it would be cool to grab Steelwood Stance which i added up at level 99.
-Reduced EQ Duration helm enchant is gone, now 40% EQ damage.
-Less Duration is mandatory for a 6L now. Fortify is being moved into a Leap Slam.
-Intimidating Cry makes a debut instead of Increased Duration in Molten Shell CWDT. It's very strong but only exerts two attacks which is all we need for our 2 attacks per second.
-The mace version tree hasn't changed. Only skills were reshuffled in the same way as the staff one. Fist of War makes a debut here as it greatly benefits from slow attacks of Marohi.

V 1.3 UPDATE (14/12/2019)
-This is a MAJOR update that reworks the entire build into STAFF + MACE versions while GOING crit at the same time! The damage has dramatically increased + no need to go accuracy on jugg anymore since you can get all accuracy on Precision.
-Maim chests and Fortify staffs were removed from the game so we will be using Unique weapons from now on, until new mods will show up.
-POBs were updated with Pantheon powers, so make sure you download the https://github.com/LocalIdentity/PathOfBuilding/wiki/Installing-this-Fork to see them.
-added MACE version with Marohi Erqi.
-added completely new End-game videos

How does it work, in general?
1)Your damage directly scales off BASE damage. Base damage = your weapon damage. The higher = the better. Ancestral Warchief scales the same way.
2) The skill itself has two phases: the initial hit and the aftershock. Aftershock happens after a delay and does 150% of initial hit damage with larger AOE. So it's a HUGE portion of your damage, both for mapping and bossing. The build itself is not about ATTACK SPEED, unlike Sunder, Blade flurry and Frost Blades. It's about hitting once and hitting hard. Massive overlapping AOE damage does all the job. You rarely need to hit twice ;)
3) ON top of that, there's another new skill called SHOCKWAVE. It's a massive, powerful cooldown-based AOE hit, at level 20/20 it happens every 0.6 second after initial melee attack.
In general when you perform an attack 3 things happen:
1) Initial Earthquake hits
2) Shockwave hits after 0.6 second
3) EQ aftershock hits after 0.7 second.
4) All of these also proc Bleed and it "seals the deal"
So you perform 3 big AOE hits in 1 second resulting in massive damage. Overall it's about 2.5 million damage in 0.7 seconds and about 5 million damage in 1.5 seconds.

4) Early Levelling Gear / Skills

Get Ground Slam or Perforate and start slamming till you get Sunder at lvl 12. Then use any axes or maces with high phys and attack speed:

These are all great for early-mid game mapping:

I can recommend using Relentless Fury early on and then buy the Blood Reaper.
Rare axes with high physical DPS will also work well.
You can also play with Maces early on if you wish.
At 28 get Eearthquake and use it in 4L with Melee Phys + Ruthless and then Inc. Aoe, Maim / Faster Attacks
For Ancestral Warchief 4L: Anc.Warchief-Melee Phys-Faster Attacks-Maim/Conc.Effect
Get mana leech on a ring/amulet or gloves AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE, cause we don't go to mana leech on tree (except for jewel)

FAQ
1) Why you don't run Immortal Call by default?

Because i don't really need it. I prefer to run with phys damage reduction, regen as well as extra ALL RESISTANCE all the time (each Endurance Charge gives 4% all resistance). With Bubonic Trails however it can be an option.

2) Can i Kill Uber Atziri / Uber Elder? Shaper at least?

4) So what is better, Maces or Staffs? How do i play and level??

In general i would level with Maces (or Axes) and yes, Crit if the way.
At first you can go Resolute Technique, and then start gathering crit nodes as you go 60-70+.
After you gather enough currency and move into harder content, i would personally spec into Staffs and buy Hegemony. Damage might not be an issue at this point as you will get enough melee crit and regrets to respec. As well as you might get Lethal pride and double block. However, duying in 90+ is quite a pain, so better be tankier.

A few months ago i decided to dust if off and take a crack at Shaper. I am not entirely sure anyone even tried it as JUGG as most people just gave up on EQ entirely for end-game.

You can indeed since it will work with Axes in 3.3
However Ground Slam is a not a duration skill gem, so it's attack-speed based like Sunder and most of the other gems.

3.3 BUFFS INCOMING:

Earthquake
• The base delay between the intial attack and the aftershock is now 1 second (down from 1.5 seconds).
• The aftershock now deals more damage as the gem levels, dealing 69% more damage at gem level 20 (up from 50%).

nice! Much more damage! More often aftershocks! And it means we can stack more attack speed as well!

Yeah i played with Marohi 3 years ago. But i would definitely recommend Tidebreaker or Kongor's. They are much better as no move speed penalty. Brain Rattler good too!

Vaal EQ deals 407% more dmg that’s roughly 6 normal EQs, and hits 7 times when you walking, so that’s 6x7=42 normal EQs dmg, with an adrenaline quicksilver you run 7 steps in ~1 seconds, so it’s like ~40 normal EQs per second. You just run around bosses then they die instantly. Definitely fixed single target problem of EQ (at least for bosses that have no phases)

Hey there angry,I saw your build on lifting nerds starter reccs and I was really hoping they would buff up EQ again, I mainly run lab , and for the past 3 or 4 leagues have gone straight into running war chief totems, My question is:

Do you think I could run this as a league starter budget and get right into U-lab farming as efficiently as a totem build or well I be lacking in damage still with EQ to full-key run izaro.
