Another LL RF/SR Guardian thread ( ◔ ʖ̯ ◔ )

God bless you on this fine day Exiles.

I wanted to make a post about my Guardian. This will not be a build guide but I will link all the sources I used to learn about this amazing skill called Righteous Fire.

My jurney began in Legacy league when CI, Double Dipping and Instand Leech on ES was meta. I was looking for a build that I could enjoy and not have to think about which map mods I couldn't run. Then I saw Pohx LL RF video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rVS9CSosSPo) for the first time. I was blown away by the complexity and even tho i was still a noob I wanted to try this amazing looking build.

But I didn't want to waste any time on leveling with another skill so I used
Shinrha's guide for leveling as RF Guardian:

The leveling was super smooth and I had the time of my life! I used every Item he mentioned in this guide just because i wanted to learn more about the game.

Once I was done with leveling and got into mapping I still couldn't believe how good it felt. Still wearing Solaris Lorica but I did hit a wall in t6 maps. I was running my first every Spider forrest when all of the sudden a Doctor card droped. I instandly sold it and bought my self a Shavronne's Wrappings and a Presence of Chayule as well as a Shav's for my GF.

Around the time I got into t11-t13 maps my GF droped a Mirror of Kalandra while leveling her HoWA Raider in Act 3 Merciless just before Piety. We managed to sell it for 155 Exa and she gave me 55 so I can gear out my Character. I asked Demigodkinglol ( Demis Guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1PZ0wOpXGQ) If he could help me out with finding the right gear but we never managed to come together. So I just went through a few guides and read a lot so I could make the right trades. The most Important guide in that time for me was Yalani's Low Life Righteous Fire Build https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/660316

I bought all my gear for around 36 Exa and I was pretty happy with it. I managed to kill shaper shortly after and also did a few carrys. When Legacy league ended I didn't want to let this character just die and so I became a Standard player. I was getting into crafting and oddly enough I crafted some weird Opal ring I couldn't pricecheck. I was asking Thotbott (Awesome theory crafter btw and was one of the That Doomfletch Life build crew) If he had any idea what it was worth but he sent me to Ahfack.

And then my Guardian changed...

Since I met Ahfack we where talking a lot about RF and how to improove it and after 1 month of talking he had me and I gave his version a shot. Oh boy let me tell ya! It was Horrible at the beginning since It was a pretty different setup. I changed so much about the gear and the gems that I didn't even have time to do anything else than trying to fix the build. I had way to less regen, not enough Fire res and stats. But the worst of all was I had not (close to) all mana reserved which ment less Energy Shield. I droped from 19.2k ES to 13.6k ES when the nerfes hit and I was devastated.

I thought that was the end of the build I invested everything I could... but I was so far away from the truth. I made a few trades, tweaked it a little and then started to farm currency. Till now I still didn't Mirror any gear but It works perfectly fine. I now have about 2.3k net regen with RF turned on and with the 6L SR I get to about 1.3 mil dps (800k shaper dps) with 14.455 ES. 98% of life and mana are reserved but I still can cast SR infinitely. So overall I have to say the switch to Ahfack's version of this build was the best decision I made so far.

I only can tell you good things about him since he's super friendly and always helpful. I'm working on getting the perfect gear for this character since it is the only build I absolutely enjoy but it's a long road if you don't have have the recouces to generate 200 ex in a week ^^

After the Character was working fine I wanted to get the perfect mtx and skins and I think I'm currently pretty close to what I want. Unless GGG want's to add more badass mtx...

At that time there was no better way to scale Scorching Ray. But since there are now up to 109% Frie dmg on Sceptres there is now a way to scale both SR and RF with just 1 stat. :)
