Apparently the 30% values for all of these types of gems aren't final and they will be changed to something else before 3.0, which likely will mean the final "MORE" modifier isn't final either.

On the face of it, the gem looks OP, but it really depends on what the values will end up being in 3.0 and at 20/20, or it could just be a stopgap support for early leveling. I.E 2-3socketed skills early on.

Even if the gem would have 256% more melee damage at 40% chance it wont help melee at all.
Just like 75/75 dodge doesn't help to survive a single 7k pvp damage fireball at 6k eHP.

You guys can have all the melee damage multipliers you want. You wont play melee because you'll still get fucked doing so.

essence of insanity + leap slam + this support + faster attack+ another more multiplier of your choice.

Stack attack speed on tree.

It's a placeholder gem, values will obviously go down by a massive margin.
