Why no SSF for week-long events?

I mean, you guys at GGG clearly aren't against SSF since you've decided to implement it into the game and made ladders separate from parent leagues. But why you decided to not make SSF for such competitive events as One-Week Legacy and Two-Week Mayhem? Would be cool to have those with separate prize pool. If you don't want/you can't change anything that scheduled, please take this suggestion into consideration for future long competitive events.

I ONLY play SSF Hardcore league. Does this mean that I can't receive any rewards for my SSF HC characters? Will microtransactions be able to be used on my SSF HC characters?

MTXs are account bound not character bound so you can use them in every league on every char.
