Next race season?

I have been away from PoE and racing for WAY too long, over a year. Now there's TONS of new content and I'm loving all of it... but there's that racing itch I need to scratch... and I'm pretty excited to see what kind of crazy races we will be doing. So is there any news on when the next season will start? I don't recall if there was a general rule where there was a race season every X months or something. If so, refresh my memory?
