Will there be a pvp season on Perandus?

I haven't looked into pvp for awhile but I used to be super into it back when they announced they would start releasing pvp seasons. Does anyone know if they will have a pvp season soon on Perandus?

Probably not. It's become evident that the new ascendances have made pvp worse: 2.2 is even more of a 1 shot offscreen fragfest than 2.1 was. The feedback ggg has received in the pvp forums has been very negative. If they would do a season in perandus, the same builds that are on top of the meta in standard, would end up on top in perandus and be highlighted because of that. I don't think ggg wants to draw more attention to the current state of pvp, so I don't think ggg will do a pvp season at this time.

Runaway droppin' truth

It's true pvp is imbalanced right now, but it's never really been "balanced" by any normal definition. POE is a game where you grind for gear and if two players are using similar builds, the one with better gear will win 90%+ of the time. I have tested ascendancy classes in perandus, and while inquisitor is strong (I am one), other classes are as strong (I'm regularly 1 shot by ice trapper builds). I think I'm the only inquisitor in the top 10. I've stopped playing standard for a while (used to be active on a cyclone character), so not sure how broken classes are on standard, but I'm sure it doesn't get more ridiculous than 1 shots. The thing is, this game has a delicate balance between 1 shot pvp and never ending tank pvp. If you reduce pvp damage it could mean 12k+ ES 1k+ regen troll builds, which is even worse imo. I'm still having fun, even though my name would suggest otherwise (ArtoriusHatesSparks).

I think it would be cool to have a perandus league tournament (well, 2, for lld and hld), even without prizes or anything (heck, I'd do it for leo exp). It's just fun to see what people come up with in temp leagues without ridiculous standard gear, and the queue times are awful at the higher ranks-it's so bad I'm tempted to lose some matches so I can get back to levelling my leo at a normal rate.

The most logical step would be another LLD season over HLD's current unbalanced state, but I'm guessing GGG won't bother with more PvP Seasons. I could be wrong, and hopefully I am since temp league LLD is pretty damn fun, but given how negatively people look at PvP, the smarter thing for GGG to do is ignore it completely.

I imagine it will be 1Q 2017 until we see any big changes or any more pvp action. Gonna be lame as fuck for a while while ggg just concentrates on cash-grab techniques and fixing their underwhelming 5minute lab.

Also regen troll builds are going down easy these days. Was testing frost bomb on a ci regen buddy and his regen went from 1400 to 400ish. Aoe/fc/Inc dur/frost bomb, even with cwdt/lw you shouldn't have a hard time anymore.
