Reckless defence
This seems another fuel for the max block tank builds, you don't even have to be a duelist any more for 100% spellblock from tree in ascendancy. The drawback for pve can be actually a bonus for those who utilise these in pvp, and reduced critical extra damage. I wonder if an RT build's hits can be received as a critical strike with this jewel. Thoughts?

This jewel is pretty sweet for pvp indeed because most of the crit builds already have 60%+ chance to crit anyway so...
But i;m more excited about the new unique ring allowing BM users to use an aura for free, that's another 36% more dmg boost for 2H RT using hatred. | |

If the reckless defence jewel is not too uncommon, I'd definitely want to make a build with it. 5 reckless defence jewels, dualwield block, stacked reduced critical damage taken and blasphemy enfeeble. That should still leave plenty of room to build for dps while being already very tanky.
Incinerate would crit with it. I suspect that RT would still not crit, and if it does I would consider it a bug. Difference between incinerate and RT is that incinerate doesn't say that it cannot crit, it just has 0 crit chance, while RT explicitly states that you cannot crit. |

" The problem is that even with 50% critical reduction (deceiver belt + tree node) critical hit still hurt like a truck any inquisitor/assassin with 500%+ crit multi will melt you in 1-2 hit :/ 78 block or not IGN: crazyjake, ,BadAndAngry Last edited by crazyjake on Feb 5, 2016, 8:03:50 AM

hatred is 8-9% damage buff approximately. i wouldnt like to lose 15-26 phys, T1 light damage + 78 life + 42 wed to 8% damage buff of hatred. losing time at the round to open a aura is another downside.

To me that amulet seems best used to run a free aura with the blood magic keystone.
With auras on mana reserve, I'd only consider using it over a gg amulet if my build absolutely required a 3rd aura and could not afford an investment in reduced mana reserved. A scenario: Without amulet and no reduced mana reserved: wrath + discipline = 85% reserved. With amulet + wrath + discipline: 49% reserved. With amulet + wrath + discipline + 1 herald: 84% reserved. I'm with Rupenus and would generally pick a gg amulet over an extra herald. |
