Your Thoughts On Pvp Rewards/ Income
Hey guys,
I'd like to ask one simple question, "What are your thought on a economical rewards for players who participate in PvP?". Everybody states that "PvP Build's are "Expansive" players can invest a huge amount of currency into PvP, with little too no rewards at all, Seemingly we don't get PvP seasons anymore, the ability to win and sell the PvP alt arts, Should? We have some incentive to be participating in PvP? Or feel that's unfair? I'm Pro PvP rewards, Racers can sell their alt arts for currency, why does PvP offer nothing? I'd kill people for a chance orb... PS: Leo rep is not a Pvp Reward, I've been pvp'ing for a while now, and he's still level 7... Also, Yes... I know GGG doesn't care about the PvP community, but it's worth the chit chat. (20 ish players?) 0 rewards. Poe pvp is too imbalanced for that.
Not giving rewards makes it so the players pvp for fun. And that they must also try to keep the pvp game fun/interesting/respectful for their opponents, because if it isn't, that opponent would leave and not try again. I suspect this has sunk in with most by now, courtesy in sarn and 1v1 seems a lot more common now than it used to be in 1.3 and 1.4. While on the other hand, if serious rewards were given, the dominant party could just roll over his opposition over and over again, knowing that they'd come back anyhow trying to get to the carrot. It'd be like my first experience with 1v1 pvp after 1.3, where halve the matches existed out of someone rolling over my character while I was casting my 2nd or 3rd aura at spawn point, after which that person left arena without saying a word. Or 1.3 and 1.4 sarn arena, where some jerks were running around in circles spawn killing everyone in range and interrupting all fights between others to get to the top of the farm ladder. I'm also pretty sure there's still more than 20 people dawdling in pvp, but you might not consider these "true" pvpers since they're not trying to win at all costs, but are just goofing off. |

" 100% behind that, the fact that most of the top gear have been created using duped currency is just the cherry on the top. If rewards were added right now meta would be 100% EA because people would start to search for the most optimal/cheaper build to farm rewards. Pvp need to stay for fun only otherwise it will turn into something so ugly than GGG will probably remove it entirely. | |
Well the season 1 and 2 were full of this type of rewards. You just weren't there :P
People have sold their pvp alt arts for ridiculous amounts of ex already. I believe the s1 1000 point alt arts sold for a close to 1k ex equiv. I'm guessing there will be something similar in s3 as well. |
