PvP Questions

Hi guys

I've spend a lot of time to pvp on D2 and i would like ask some questions about pvp in poe.
Im pretty new to this game (Started in WB), and pve start to be a bit boring and i would like to do some pvp.

So i would like to know where is the best way to pvp, WB or standard ? Queue in WB seems to be so long is it the same in standard? What about sarn arena in standard? what's the best, lld or hld ?

thx for answers, maybe i'll add some more later :)
For HLD they're about the same. Unfortunately the queue will always tend to be long except right after dailies reset (when a lot of people will be joining to do their leo daily).

For LLD I think standard has a more active scene, and possibly the biggest scene in general. It's much more work to get in, though (with HLD you can go in with your normal gear...LLD requires crafting a whole new set of gear).
First of all: PoE PvP is same boring shit as PvE.

Even HLD is incredibly slow.

D2 hld pvp was based on teleport-chainlock-stunlock (for casters) and open wounds (for melee)

there is no movement skill similar to teleport, no possibility to cast spell on offscreen namelocked target, no way to break namelock beside blink arrow, and (surprise) stunlock can be countered by 1 item.

Any build based on regen or es recharge can outregen a lot of enemy's dps or completely refill hp after 2 sec of non being hit.

So, all you can do is just increase dps up to 'oneshot' threshold. Speed, reaction, experience are irrelevant. You can or can't kill enemy's build. that's it.

If you like this concept:
Make cheap EA+PA build, play WB, win the game.

I am one of the active lld dudes on standard. Do not start in warbands since it is a temp league that does not last that long anymore and you will have problems to find good lld gear. Be prepared to spent A LOT of currency be it lld or hld.And with a lot i mean 50ex-open end depending on your aims. If you join std lld pvp i can tell you that you won't find a lot of opponents. Mainly just the ones that do their dailies.Or the top guys which are quite annoying to fight against, cause you won't stand a chance for the first times. It is pretty hard to get into pvp and it takes a long time to develop your build so that you can play in the tops. If you rly care about pvp join a pvp guild. So you can get matches and test your builds.
Oh y i forgot something. Poe pvp is not "boring as shit" it is great if you can handle the frustration when you lose from time to time :-)

You're right, can't win them all man. Builds just flat out lose to other builds and you're bound to get countered eventually. People tend to jump ship to another build immediately and deteriorate all their currency in the process. People should stick to their guns more and just try to adapt or let the game evolve.
GGG, the ADA of gaming....huuuur i gotz mai skilz.
