Traps overpowered ? :/

Don't know about PvE
But they sure look extremly powerful in PvP.
That's mostly All of what LLD is,traps. Almost every build has some kind of trap, and if they don't,they are probably not a contender. The fact that you have something everyone relies on,and they are invisible to the opponent,is a bit much. This is PvP,where countering your opponents is the key to victory. The best way to counter traps is Arc/RoA or counter Trap. Thus, making the entirety of PvP gameplay and "meta",around invisible traps that HAVE to be countered to compete.

PoE LLD PvP meta currently = Path of Traps.

path of traps LEL. Ya traps are pretty insane. Would like to see the mana cost boosted, or the duration of traps existing lowered, and maybe some adjustments to point blank. I like that traps were adjusted for season 2 by reducing the T-override of trap skill to 0.9 seconds (from 1.1 seconds). I dont know if this was the correct decision though. I think they were trying to target elemental skills in traps as well as point blank traps within the same fix. I think adjusting point blank and elemental penetration gems might have been a better fix. I guess they didnt want to do too many adjustments at once and throw bow builds out of the meta. So I think they are making smaller changes multiple times over the course of the long run to fine tune them. If I am right, we will see another adjustment here with season 3 probably.

I think if they adjusted point blank then they might not have needed to nerf the bow skills again in 1.3.1. Trial and error. Again if the gear barrier wasnt so extreme people would be open to more radical tuning because the investment to change builds wouldnt be as overwhelming.

They can just add a low level item that makes it so you can see traps within your light radius. Bam problem solved!

This doesn't address the problem at all. We don't need to see where traps are. The problem is that everyone can throw 1/2 shot traps right on top of their opponents. Damage just needs to go down more.

herald of thunder is really helpful vs traps. also arc destroys them. or grab a quicksilver and dodge them.. i think they're really strong, but not op

Herald of thunder strikes if we kill a shocked enemy , if the opponent is already dead then traps are not a problem i guess ....

Breaking a trap usually causes herald of thunder to trigger, the trap gets shocked before it is killed.
