Balance in pvp

I watch many videos on youtube.On every video was the DEX characters fast killers.But I start Templar, and honestly DEX chars kill templar in 1 sec. Templar is 0 in pvp?I am confused.I think he is high def whit medium dmg

Im running a Mara, full def, and I have only lost one match so far. Granted Ive only played about 10 with him tho. The only prob I have Dex toons is that they just run around in circles and I cant catch them. I need some new boots
