I think it's a great balance between showing gearing options and reducing clutter. Your drops should be relevant from the first enemy you encounter, all the way to the highest area levels in the game. This filter only filters gear (with minor, convenient exceptions). It shows almost all other types of drops (like Currency, Maps, Divination Cards, quality flasks and gems, obvious crafting recipes, etc.).
