Suggestion for Cutthroat Races
Let me just start off by saying that I understand the concept of a 'Cutthroat' Race. There should be very few (if any) rules regarding player killing, and there shouldn't be any reason that a player should be unable to be killed by other players (except for hiding in town).
HOWEVER, griefing in these races is getting a little ridiculous. Level 20's killing level 2s and 3s in mudflats takes no skill whatsoever, and definitely borders on harassment. I have a suggestion which could help solve some of the griefing going on in these events. Impose a level limit of +/- say... 5 levels on anyone trying to enter an existing instance. For example: Lets say a level 20 wants to enter the mudflats in a cutthroat race. If he is creating a new instance of his own, there is no problem. If he is attempting to enter an existing zone, he would need to be within 5 levels of the person who created the instance. So if a level 3 made the instance, he would not be able to enter. But if a level 12 made the instance, he would be able to enter. This Basically makes it so that only someone ROUGHLY your level can PK you. Obviously you will still probably lose to someone 5 levels ahead of you, but at least you would have a chance to defend yourself and possibly get away, or wait for help. IGN Harbinger: FrostyPolyp
