More points for reaching goals

In the last days I wanted to play race events and collect some points. But in the end I played only two events: 1 Ledge, because it is fun and I tried the 12 minute race. The reason I did not play much is I have no chance to collect points. I will never be the 1st, 2nd or even 10th of something. I have no problem with it. But I also have no chance to reach higher levels to get some points.

My idea is to give more points for lower levels and 1 point for playing at least 50% of the event time. You have to do this with one character of course.
My second idea is to have casual events. No points for doing something first. Only points if you reach something and for the top players (all + per class) so it is still a competive race. Of course the goals should start low.
I like the idea of a race event where there would be points simply for defeating Brutus, Merveil, Fidelitas, Weaver, Bandits, Vaal etc. Perhaps also for side quests. Extra points for being the first (and only the first) of each class to defeat them. And extra points for being the very first overall. No matter the length and type of the race, the goal would constantly be to progress and the "reward per time" would remain somewhat constant.

And then finally a few points for the top player of each class as well as overall. These amounts should perhaps be slightly lower than normal to adjust the overall amount of points a typical winner would get.

Perhaps level brackes, perhaps not.
