Non tradable Currencies as rewards

Since orbs are not and will never be rewards because of rmt ( my guess ) Why don't we just make ( i mean ggg ) non tradable orbs as rewards ?

This would be much better than the current set of uniques that season 4 have. This or a mix of uniques and non tradeable currency.

Making currency non-tradeable doesn't reduce its effect on the economy (by much). The end resulting item that you create can still be traded.

The idea is old. I think several players including me had the idea to add something like a Questitem which gets charged by reward points and generates random currency on use or something similar.

Don't expect currency to come back before A3x failed.

even special currencies as on the thread linked ?

Non-tradeable currency with the effect of binding the modified item to your account would be the best.

It would encourage both racing and crafting.

A good way to do this would to have a Reward Shop system in place on the website.
Players can use race points to purchase these special crafting only orbs, and can spend a certain amount of points on orbs per week.
