17:17 "PROOF: Server-side lag - global chat screenshot"

Here is proof it's not an isolated issue. Screenshot taken live in global chat - multiple players complaining about lag at the exact same time. This is 100% server-side. Please stop telling us to restart our routers.

Could you post a link to an employee advising you to do that?

That literally wouldn't be proof of anything.

If my ISP has a problem, both me and anyone else with the same company would potentially experience issues at the same time. If my country's backbone infrastructure has a problem, myself and some or all people living here would have a problem at the same time. If an IX has a problem, anyone who connects to GGG's servers through it would have a problem at the same time.

The internet is not just your router and GGG's server.

Your internet traffic physically passes through miles and miles of infrastructure to travel from the former to the latter. Speaking as a professional Network Engineer, I respectfully am not convinced you're qualified to define what constitutes "proof" of something being "server-side".

Good point about intermediate infrastructure. However, if the issue was purely on my ISP or a shared network node, why does Diablo 4 run perfectly fine at the same time with 51ms latency, while PoE2 disconnects constantly? Both games use different servers and different network routes. If the problem was somewhere between my router and GGG's servers, D4 should be affected too. The fact that only PoE2 is impacted strongly suggests the issue is specific to GGG's infrastructure or their CDN, not the intermediate nodes.

You answered your own question there.

You're blaming the destination, while it is possible that the route specifically to that destination is the problem. To be clear - I'm not saying that I know for a fact that this is the case; there is no debugging information in the thread to analyse, so nobody can say for sure. All I am doing is making that very point - no proof has been offered, in either direction.

What does a CDN have to do with playing a video game?
