Snakepit on left-hand and gambleshot support gem synergy?

I am having Snakepit ring on left hand which prevents my spell projectiles to Chain and Pierce, so it can only Fork. If it is the case, will it prevent the gambleshot gem from rolling Chain and Pierce, so that it will always roll Fork ?
