Locked out of progress for "Legacy of the Maji"

Can anyone give me ideas on how to progress this quest?

I'm supposed to be collecting parts from ~5 different special maps. I collected 4/5, but the 5th one did not drop and the special map(s) are gone.

I did another audience with the king, killed him, got a non-quest item that I believe has to be socked into the quest I'm bugged on.

It says I have to do these Nameless maps, which to the best of my knowledge don't exist anymore.
