Hollow Form and rarity on items

Hi,
Can't find this info anywhere in game. If I kill mobs with hollow form (new monk ascendancy skill which counts as ally?) then is rarity items found on my gear improving drops?

Don't know if I should invest in rarity gear without knowing if it would even work with hollow form

It should, rarity works with basically everything

The clones inherit all your stats and gear. That's why they can give you charges when you equip Lochtonial Caress with the First of Stone notable.

The congress are not you however, so effects that day "when you kill" or similar (like heralds) will not work.
