Who asked for these trials?

I played during the beta. I hated the trials.

I played during the release of the huntress. I hate the trials.

I played during the release of the druid. I hate the trials.

I do not find them fun. I do not find them interesting. I do not find them balanced. Some builds face roll these trials to the point you can play without looking at the screen. Other builds are not so lucky.

They gatekeep a core character mechanic that most people find fun to have.

It's not that they're hard. It's that they're RNG and unfun. I don't want to play a rogue lite mode. I don't want to have dramatically different experiences based upon pure RNG.

Get the bird? Chances are you will die if you make a mistake. Get the Chimera, congrats you got a free win. Why? Who finds this fun?

I don't want to run this a dozen times to master the bird. Especially when some builds can just run around in a circle and kill the boss without ever interacting with it, and others have to actually stand still and cast.

It's just not fun. And I'm just not going to play the game anymore until these trials are removed.

I surely cannot be the only person who finds these trials to be tedious and unfun. Who asked for these trials to be put in the game?

Its fun, I like it.
PoE1 nowadays looks more and more like a fan-made fork server with tons of custom weird experimental stuff rather than original game with carefully thought out balance brough live to players.

I just do first two and forget about rest.

I despise sekhema. If i could do ultimatum instead for all trial probably would do but dont like it. Still it is doable for my game style.
You seems more specific on the chaos trial, you should do the other since it's less RNG and overall easier to manage.

If you're talking about the 2 you do in the campaign...those should be a joke and not be an issue along with being done real quick, if you ever have issues just come back 5 level later or something.

its tedious, its boring and time consuming, often unfair and ridiculous. I admit I liked the Izaro shenanigans much more

I hope they will improve it in the future to make it more fun and less annoying

Sekhemas with some practice and preparation is reliably doable. I totally struggled in first season, now its just an annoying thing to do..

(talking about 3rd and 4th, first two during campaign are a non-issue)

I have to agree. I love the game and where it’s going with 0.5, but the Trials are easily the worst system I’ve ever seen in an ARPG.

Who thought THIS belongs here? Sekhema alone is way too long, and one tiny mistake can erase an entire hour of progress — that’s not challenge, that’s just frustration.

Why do we have to replay trial phases and bosses we already cleared? And why add RNG debuffs and mechanics that literally don’t exist anywhere else in the game?

If I wanted a Lara Croft-style trap experience, I’d play Tomb Raider.

Do you even track how many players end up buying their final Ascendancy because they can’t get it themselves?

And don’t even get me started on class differences like melee vs. ranged or mobility tools, which aren’t respected at all in these designs.

In the end, you can improve the endgame all you want, but many players will be locked out of power progression by trials and will stop around level 70, making the endgame essentially irrelevant. Some might level another class to 70, but I don’t think that justifies all the effort you put into the endgame.
sekhema is EZ
Yea IM not a fan of it really. Took me to level 46 to finally be able to do my 2nd one in the chaos temple.

Im playing a Witch Hunter Permafrost Build and it wasnt easy, maybe because I never played this class, probably just its too much RNG, 1st time I got the Bird and some nasty mods and died, 2nd try I got the Chimera at the end..

Funny thing - it was lag Spiking so hard I just stood on the stairs at the top and alternated Rounds and launched grenades and it eventually died.. LMAO
In game since Minotaur League..
