Delirium locked by Virisium Remnant fight continued to tick down

While I was fighting a remnant, and the delirium bar was visually marked as gray after starting the fight, delirium still ran out half-way through the fight.

I was truthfully unable to tell if it was just a case of it unlocking at some point, or if it was counting down while visually gray.
