Abyss spawning mobs outside map on Savannah, making it impossilbe to compelte

So I'm trying to complete the Abyss storyline and it spawned up near the boss on Savannah. I killed the boss and anything close, but the abyss won't close. So I see my bear going crazy near the cliffs and I start attacking at the wall to find blood raining down and eventually a pile of gold appear at my feet. But the map won't complete so I'm guessing there were still more outside of the bounds of the map.
