massive memory usage since 0.5

Since the 0.5 update, the RAM usage spikes from startup and takes roughly 20gb of RAM (rather than 6-8).
This is exclusive to PoE2 and the problem resolves as soon as you close the game.
I've also had many others report the same issue with roughly the same RAM usage. (via reddit and steam discussions)
Messing with graphics settings does not help in any significant way.
Would appreciate a soon fix because the league is a banger and I rather not have my RAM die on me in the big 2026 :D
