The game should start on the infinite atlas.
Provide large, handcrafted biomes for every story act in the game. The player can branch left / right for random layout maps or go straight after the next campaign map / story map. Story map layouts should be handcrafted and never have random layouts. Endgame quests appear at the outer edges of the atlas and continue infinitely. Make the campaign maps incredibly hard.
